Main Topics 1. Developing body awareness as an essential tool for verbal and non-verbal communication. 2. Exploring body movement and spatial interaction to enhance the communication process. 3. Designing learning experiences that integrate body expression and verbal communication to engage students effectively. 4. Adapting expressiveness by adjusting rhythm, dynamics, and modulation to make communication more persuasive. 5. Assessing teaching practices by observing the integration and consistency of verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Trainers

Ângelo Neto

A multidisciplinary academic and artist, Ângelo Neto holds a degree in Biochemistry (FCUL) and Dance (ESD), a Master’s in Performing Arts (FCSH), a Master’s in Dance Education (ESD), and a PhD in Arts Education (IE&FBAUL). His research focuses on choreographic creation in education. Neto is an integrated member of the SAP Lab at the University of Lisbon and CIEBA at the Faculty of Fine Arts. He currently teaches at the Escola Superior de Dança and the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana.

Rui Baeta

Rui Baeta is a renowned vocalist and vocal coach. He holds a degree from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (ESML) and a Specialist Title from the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (IPL). With a distinguished career, he has performed in major venues across Portugal and abroad, collaborating with prestigious orchestras. Baeta has been featured in popular television programs such as Factor X and Ídolos on SIC and served as a judge on All Together Now on TVI. He also teaches Vocal Technique for Singing and Spoken Voice.

This workshop is ideal for researchers interested in exploring the intersections of body language, communication dynamics, and educational strategies. It provides practical insights into integrating verbal and non-verbal expression in academic or pedagogical contexts.
