Josefa Domingos and Catarina Godinho - Punching Back project

The “Punching Back” project was recently featured on the Jornal Nacional, highlighting the use of boxing as a therapeutic approach to support people living with Parkinson's disease.
The initiative is being developed at the Associação Portuguesa de Doentes de Parkinson and is led by Egas Moniz professors Josefa Domingos and Catarina Godinho within a project funded by CiiEM EduCom 2024.
Through adapted group training sessions, the project promotes physical and functional benefits, demonstrating how research and practice can come together to create innovative solutions with real impact on people’s lives.
