PROMOTE Partner Meeting - shaping vocational excellence in justice @ Egas Moniz

After a year of working online, the PROMOTE project partners reunited in person in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 13-14, 2025.

The meeting was hosted by Egas Moniz School of Health & Science, one of the 17 partners, and brought together colleagues from across Europe to plan the next phase of the project.

PROMOTE aims to enhance training for justice system professionals through competency updates and the creation of Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs).

The meeting focused on key strategic areas of the project – including the development of a European ecosystem of correctional skills, the establishment of CoVEs, and innovative approaches to learning, certification and sustainability. Partners also discussed ways to strengthen dissemination, stakeholder involvement, and cross-European cooperation.

The event reinforced collaborative momentum in promoting professional development for justice practitioners.
