Admission Requirements
Applicants must cumulatively meet the following mandatory requirements: a) Hold a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences; b) Demonstrate previous experience working with viruses in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3) laboratory facilities; c) Be available to carry out the activities foreseen in the work plan. Failure to comply with any of the above requirements will result in exclusion from the selection process.
Work plan
The work will be carried out at the Virology Laboratory of Egas Moniz School of Health & Science, Monte de Caparica, Portugal, or at other locations required for the execution of the project activities, under the scientific supervision of the Principal Investigator.
Duration of the fellowship
The fellowship will have an initial duration of six (6) months and may be renewed for an additional six (6) months, subject to satisfactory performance, project funding availability and applicable legal provisions.
Workplace

Selection methods
Only applicants who provide documentary evidence of all admission requirements will be admitted. Applications will be excluded if: a) The applicant does not hold the required degree; b) Documentary proof of BSL3 experience is not provided; c) Mandatory application documents are missing; d) The application is submitted after the deadline. Only admitted candidates will be evaluated. Evaluation will follow the criteria approved by the Selection Committee and recorded in Meeting Minutes No. 1: A. Academic Background – 40% B. Scientific and Laboratory Experience – 40% C. Motivation and Suitability for the Project – 20% Final Score (FS): FS = (0.40 × A) + (0.40 × B) + (0.20 × C)
