Research Ethics
Human participants in research
Egas Moniz is committed to ensuring that its research involving human participants is conducted in a way that respects the dignity, rights, and welfare of participants, and minimises risk to participants, researchers, third parties, and to Egas Moniz itself. Therefore, all research is subject to appropriate ethical review.
The Egas Moniz Ethics Committee (EMEC) is the sole responsible for this ethical review process. EMEC is responsible for providing review and approval of ethics applications (where these do not require review by external committees).
