ECOTROPHELIA Portugal 2020

Promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the agri-food sector at national and European level, bringing together and challenging students, teachers, researchers and professionals in the sector to reflect on the eco-innovative products of the future, are the main objectives of the ECOTROPHELIA Award.
Promoted by PortugalFoods, the ECOTROPHELIA Portugal 2020 Award assumes itself as a natural innovation laboratory for the academic environment, in order to create a training network of excellence in food eco-innovation, thus providing access to a wide range of talents and eco-innovative food products.
Intended for multidisciplinary teams of 2 to 6 students of higher education, it aims at the development of an innovative and sustainable food product at various levels, from the concept, formulation, production, packaging to marketing, business and sales plans, without neglecting the aspects nutritional and sensory.
